Hi, I recently went to pick up some take out from a restaurant in PA. They sell wine and liquor and I asked to buy a bottle of wine to take home with my dinner. The guy told me that PA state law does not allow you to leave the establishment with a CLOSED bottle. Now, I moved here from NY where I've never heard such a thing. I found it hilarious that the state of PA says its ok to sit in the restaurant, get drunk and then drive home rather than bring it home and drink it where you won't have to get behind a wheel when you're done. Then I remembered that I ate at a restaurant about a year ago, drank there and was allowed to leave with the OPEN bottle. This makes absolutely no sense to me. Would you happen to know the law pertaining to this matter? I appreciate any insight you can give me.
Thanks, Matt
